Meridian Transportation Services is a rapidly growing for-profit non-emergency medical transportation company proudly providing service throughout Montgomery County and prescheduled appointments beyond.
Founded by a hardworking business owner, Antuan DeJesus, Meridian provides assisted ambulatory and wheelchair transportation to area seniors and those with mobility challenges.
In serving as a volunteer with different religious organizations and in assisting many seniors with physical ailments and limitations, Antuan witnessed firsthand the need for more reliable, timely, and cost-effective transportation and associated support services. With more than three years in operation and a growing fleet, Meridian has performed thousands of successful ambulatory and wheelchair transports for an untold number of passengers.
Unlike other services operating as a curb-to-curb service, Meridian is committed to safely escorting you or your loved one from residence or facility to a clean, comfortable, and modern wheelchair accessible vehicle. On arrival at your destination, Meridian’s trained staff will escort you to check-in.
In leveraging years of professional training and experience, Antuan and all of Meridian’s staff continue to build and cultivate strategic relationships with area staff, patients, and families. Rather than focusing exclusively on volume and profits, Meridian is keenly focused on providing exceptional and timely customer service with the compassion you and your loved ones deserve.

We are continuously striving to implement effective strategies for enhanced training, integrated technologies, and managerial support and communication. Because we provide local and long distance transportation, effective planning and communication between dispatch and key facilities is paramount.
We continuously work on enhancing our scheduling and traffic management in an effort to reduce travel and wait times while increasing efficiency. We work to adapt and implement policies and procedures to support our mission, to analyze and advise on transportation issues, evaluate scheduling conflicts, negotiate and correspond with carriers, vendors, and strategic partners.
Dispatchers will receive extensive instruction on using our technological integration systems designed to support our growing scheduling and logistical demands. Dispatchers are responsible for the following:
- Customer intake
- Preparation of daily schedules and trip manifests
- Effective driver management and scheduling
- Trip management and oversight
- Coordination with facility personnel
